spring imaginary comp.

Sadly none of it is mine at the moment. But look at that trench coat! The print reminds me of farmer's almanacs and botanists magazine cut outs on a creme background...Very lovely. And I found a pair of wellies with the same kind of groove and at a more accessible price, and some Dr. Marten like rain n' snow trekky type lace- ups from Bloomingdale's.

amazing lunchbox and retro threads

Happy new years everyone. Okay so yeah, I spent New Years eve partially at Old Navy. That sounds pretty lame, doesn't it? I'm okay with the stuff they have, only the occasional piece of clothing (or some of the hoodies and activewear), plain and no embellishments so people can't tell you got it from a store where the ceiling isn't furbished, they hold sales for flip flops where people die, or something among those lines. So I was dragged along with family (I didn't show much remorse, I mean it was the mall or me on the computer for another hour) to exchange something my sister got for Christmas, yadda, yadda. But that's beside the point. When we walked in I was browsing around, and then, near the front counter there were these shelves, and my eyes peered out of their sockets a little. Rows, and rows of tin Loungefly lunchboxes! Hawaiian Punch, Smurfette, Dr. Pepper (I'M A PEPPER, HBU?) and a adorable pale yellow-orange Crush one, flowers on the sides, embossed with logo and on the back, "Have an orange CRUSH on me." My current vinyl lunch tote is dilapidated, with a useless Velcro clasp and bad odour. I needed it, right? (Quote Becky Bloomwood [Shopaholic] : "...It's an investment!") Luckily there was this Buy 2 Get 1 for a loonie (Non-Canadians, that's a dollar), and my sister and mother got some pants or whatever, so it was score with the lunchbox. Just holding it gave me a happy groove as I pondered on how it would go with my various vintage or Value Village, or swamp meet finds with a hippy vibe, like my super long bright green polka dotted and mirrored skirt or the tousled, ruffled one with jagged flowers, or my chunky wood bead jewelry in rainbow colours, blahhhh. I did comply an outfit [below], may wear it for first day of school but my Oxfords and Pink Floyd tee are more tempting. I've done quite a lot of shopping here and there, except I am annoyed for failing to find a Kurt-Cobain Mohair sweater or plaid flannel shirt with enough Grunge-esque to purchase or a nice chunky pair of brown boots with knee high laces (Daria. Love her and her witty remarks.) Oh yeah, I couldn't find my camera charger so I gotta use my webcam which frankly, sucks, with it's low mega pixel and mirroring feature which you will notice with the lunchbox.

L O V E this print.

Shirt + Pencil Skirt + Tights, Closet; Suspenders, Ardene; Bow, Claire's; Lunch Tin, Old Navy
I know this seems identical to the last post's photos but those were just sorry excuses for lack of material and blogger-block. Also my closet is hard to navigate around and I didn't feel like going through loads of stuff even though it's the weekend.

Hello fellow bloggers! Recently I have developed quite an interest in fashion, which was surprising to me since I was once more of a tomboy type before this summer which brought out many of good changes in my personality and taste in music and clothing, things like that. Yes, I am also engrossed in music, and I enjoy alternative, rock and metal as my favourite genres and at the moment my favourite song is 'Wish you were here' by Pink Floyd. The photos below were taken with my crummy web cam after an Ardene haul yesterday for new accessories...hope you like the look! No, I'm not a hipster, or scene, or whatever may be predicted, although I do have a liking to some part of the styles although the Ray-Ban style sunglasses, neon colors, and converse have just become overused staples in teenage fashion. Kinda sad, isn't it? I do try to mix it up a little, but I hope I don't seem too have too much cliche for your approval, since it's exactly what I hope not is happening.
